FISHERY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (FIP)
Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) are initiatives to improve the operation of a fishery and achieve sustainability , under the standards of the MSC. In addition to these standards, tools to address the social problems that often surround fisheries have recently been incorporated into the FIPs.
MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) is an eco-certifier, whose standards measure:
- Stock Status
- Environmental impacts
- Governance and management
