Del Pacifico Seafoods recently added responsibly farm-raised White Shrimp (Vannamei Shrimp) to their product offerings.

Del Pacifico Seafoods recently added responsibly farm-raised White Shrimp (Vannamei Shrimp) to their product offerings.

With two farms located in the state of Sonora, Mexico, the white shrimp are raised in reservoirs that use ocean water from their natural habitat. The farms have a greater depth than traditional farms to allow for greater comfort to the growing shrimp.

Del Pacifico Seafoods also has a filter system that allows any other species that come from the sea to return, protecting all the accompanying fauna that coexists with the shrimp.

THAWING INSTRUCTION: Remove the seal from the individual shrimp burger bag. Place the shrimp burger in the refrigerator for 6 hours. Resume cooking instructions.

COOK FROM FROZEN: Remove the shrimp burgers from the freezer and place at room temperature for approximately 10 minutes before cooking. Preheat one teaspoon of cooking oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat, cook the patties for approximately 5 minutes on each side.

Ingredients

  • 4….Sustainable farm shrimp patties
  • 4….Brioche buns
  • 210g….Mayonnaise
  • 210g….Mayonnaise
  • 60g….Pickles
  • 60g….Capers
  • 4…..Slices of Beefsteak Tomato
  • 4…..Slices of Red Onion
  • 4…..Leaves of Butter Lettuce
Steps

Chop pickles and capers into small pieces, place them in a bowl add mayonnaise and a bit of pickle juice, then stir to create a dressing.

Heat a pan and cook the farm shrimp patties for 5 minutes on each side. Toast the brioche buns in a pan for 2 minutes in the center of the bun, then remove.

Take the toasted buns, spread the dressing on them, add a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, a slice of red onion, the shrimp patty, and close the burger.
